COVID-19 Tax Relief

In IRS Notice 2020-20, the IRS has now granted an automatic extension for the filing of 2019 federal income and gift tax returns and the payment of related taxes to July 15, 2020. However, estate tax returns are still due at their current scheduled date. The Hawaii Department of Taxation issued Tax Announcement 2020-01 also granting on a state level. The due date for filing 2019 Hawaii income tax returns and making any related payments due between April 20, 2020 and June 20, 2020 is postponed to July 20, 2020. Estimated taxes for 2020 are still due as scheduled.
